Hand Cutting
We meticulously select and check each and every leather for its natural curve, pattern and texture. This is one of the most crucial parts as the cutting will depend a lot on these factors. Our craftsmen then proceed to hand cut the leathers, in the old traditional and artisanal style. Thus, each hand cut leather piece becomes by definition unique.
Hand Polishing
Mainly used for our logo and our clients’ initials, precious metal is hand polished by our craftsmen in charge of jewelry. The metal is polished until the perfect shine is obtained, not overdone but smooth and spotless.
Hand Painting
The edges of leather pieces are painted to give a unique look and feel to Marnelo accessories. Our craftsmen apply paint in small doses, as long as necessary, until the desired colour intensity is reached. This level of precision and persistence is the hallmark of our craftmanship.

At Marnelo, we select the skins 100% ethically, in the highest standards of ecological sustainability. This is one of our cornerstone principles and unwavering commitment to the welfare of animals.
Animal wellbeing, including the way they are raised, handled and skinned are of outmost importance to us. Additionally, we only select species that have never been on an endangered or protected list.
Our suppliers are thoroughly vetted, and all the paperwork checked multiple times, before we engage in our fair trade sourcing. We work with tanneries who must adhere to strict rules and processes, including CITES guidelines for those selling exotic leathers.
